4 Simple Ways To Help Ease Pain Caused By A Pinched Nerve

When you pinch a nerve in your back, the pain that you will experience can range from very mild pain to severe pain. Here are four simple ways you can ease the pain caused by your pinched nerve in your back, regardless of the level of pain that you are experiencing.

#1 Get Some Rest

Sometimes, the simplest solution is really the best solution. If you are on your feet all day and have a schedule that doesn't leave you time to get enough sleep or even take a few minutes break, you may need to cut back a little bit in order to ease the pain that you are feeling. Not getting enough rest and allowing your body time to heal can cause your pinched nerve to flare up and cause you even more pain.

Make sure that you are getting the number of hours that your body needs to feel rested. This number can vary for everybody, so make sure you are getting the amount that you need to wake-up naturally in the morning without feeling groggy. You also need to be able to sit down and take some breaks during the day. Try to rearrange your schedule so that it can accommodate a slower pace. If you don't give your body time to heal, the pain is going to stick around for longer.

Heat can be very effective at relaxing your muscles and your nerves. If you currently have a pinched nerve in your back, you should use heat at least once a day to relax your muscles.

There are multiple ways that you can use heat to relive the pain in your back. You can take an extra shower each day, and instead of worrying about washing yourself, just stand so that the warm water floods down your back for the entire time. If you have a bathtub, take a long relaxing soak in some hot water to either start or wrap up your day.
